ABOUT ME

I grew up in New York City and moved to Los Angeles 2.5 years ago. In university, I studied psychology and education, and after I graduated, I worked in a hospital for 2 years, doing neuro research. Right now, I'm in a PhD program at UCLA studying child development and education research/policy.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A friend and I couchsurfed in Vienna in 2008 before I joined the site. It was such a great experience that I signed up as soon as I got home. Since then, I've met a bunch of people through CS. In 2012, I surfed in Mumbai and I'm sure I would have hated it if I didn't have a great host showing me around. But instead, I got to know the city and the people and I loved it! Now I sometimes choose CS for U.S. travel for work/conferences/etc. if I want to have a more personalized experience than a hotel.

Intereses

I like seeing live music, going to bar trivia with my friends, taking pictures, eating great food, and of course traveling!

Algo increíble que he hecho

I really enjoyed going on safari in Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania--I saw all the animals I could ever want to, and all in a beautiful microcosm of all the ecosystems in the world. It was incredible! I also liked skydiving in Massachusetts :)
