ABOUT ME
Hi
I am Anne Sofie.
My first CS experience was back in 2010 when I travelled to the Balcan countries, and it completely blew my mind of how great travelling could be... I met so much hospitality and so many great, different and cool people.
And as I have always thought that people are much more interesting than seightseeing and never really liked being a turist (if that makes sense?), couchsurfing was perfect and right up my alley.
When I got back home I started hosting people, in the hope that others would experience the same joy and unique feeling when strangers opens up their home to you.
I love hosting, most people a great and its fun to share lifestories and conversations.
But, I also have to admit that after a while I had several experiences where I felt more like a free hotel than like a CS host, and that have made me much less active the last years.
With that said, how to caracterize myself...
I'm respectful, interested in other people, love to laugh and hang out with other people. But I also have the need to go my own ways and have time for thoughts.
I live in a red house with 7 other people and 2 cats that I share my everyday life with, in something strangely close to a surrogate family.
My bike is my preferred mean of transportation, and I take it everywhere, like most Copenhageners. The freedom of going whereever you want on the bike is wonderful, and what I miss the most, when Im travelling.
Other things that I like from the top of my head...
Sourdough
Workdays in our house
Good conversations joined with plenty of wine and/or port,
'hygge' with good company and loads of tea and cake,
Brown bodegas,
ultimate frisbee,
yoga and sunday walks,
Nerdy biology trips
Dancing, going to concerts, reading ect ect ect

Music: Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Meschiya Lake, fleetwood mac but also Tame Impala, alt-J, talking heads, the always lovely Otis Redding and of course the one hit wonder of the Allessi brothers.
