About Me
Hi everyone!
Let me introduce myself in short here so you have an idea who am I! I'm Anne-Sophie and I'm a 20 year-old Dutchie that likes to discover places and meet people! I am studying European Public Health in Maastricht, the Netherlands, which I enjoy much. At the same time, travelling is my favourite way to get out of normal routine and my everyday environment. I have too much hobbies to maintain them all, like learning to speak Italian, playing the piano and the guitar, working at a cosy café, working out, hiking, reading and dancing. Furthermore, I'm part of an international youth organisation, AEGEE, which I'm very enthusiastic about! It brings young Europeans together and enhances cultural exchange and understanding. Studying abroad (Sheffield, UK), travelling, and being part of AEGEE all triggered travelling more for me! Being in international context is something I enjoy and something that I feel is important. Meeting each new person and situation with the same childish curiosity is both the sport and art of life for me. I hope to be meeting many more wonderful persons and places❤️.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
So far I've used couchsurfing a few times with various friends of mine (when others arranged the host - I'm arranging it myself now for the first time!). My experiences were very positive and I think it's an amazing platform! The social aspect of Couchsurfing can truly make a journey unforgettable and way more unique than staying at regular accommodation types. Additionally, I consider every Couchsurfing experience an adventure in which you have to adapt to the host or guest. It contributes to cultural and social understanding and at the same time can give a more local experience!
Music, Movies, and Books
Veeeery broad music taste (e.g. from classical piano music of Joep Beving to Kings of Leon to Etta James to Ben Howard), French and Scandinavian movies, books that keep me reading because of writing style and an interesting main character.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Transsiberian train journey through Russia with one group of crazy people from Russia and all over Europe!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach everything I know or can to anyone, I would love to learn Italian and to meditate better, I would like to share my thoughts and ideas about anything with anyone.
