About Me

Hi! I am a cheerful and enthousiastic Dutch girl who likes to travel and to be amongst people. I have lived in several places in the Netherlands, traveled in several countries in Europe and I like to meet new people, since I am interested in their backgrounds and stories. In daily life I work with and for refugees.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I came to know CS by a friend telling me about it. He was very enthousiastic about CS and has surfed and hosted several times. His stories made me want to try CS as well. My experiences till now are great!

Interests

I am interested in all kinds of different cultures and their history and I like to visit cities abroad. Oh, and I loooove food, books, streetart... and a good coffee. Pancakes are my all time favorite.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Alt-J, Radiohead, The National, Fink, the xx, Muse, recently discovering Arab music
Books: I read a lot, but almost never twice the same book, to much to read. Some favorites: Linda Polman, Carlos Ruiz Zafon, Philippe Claudel, Murakami, Michail Boelgakov, J.K. Rowling (HP I read 5 times, its a little twisted, I know)
Movies: no horror ever, all-time favorites: Into the wild, Amelie, On the road
