ABOUT ME

I was born and grew up in russia and since 2007 I live and work in France as an architect. I live with my boyfriend who comes from Scotland and our fralt is not far from Strasbourg city centre.
I love foreign languages although I'm still not perfect in French, I'm used to switch between French at work and English at home. I studied Spanish a few years ago and I loved but had to stop for a wee while. Hopefully I'll get back to it this year.
I love dancing, pilates and yoga and everything other sports that makes my muscles feel alive :-) I also took part in a cool project called "Bodies in urban spaces" in May 2014 which is an art/ dance project letting the public discover their own town and smile during the whole show.
And I always enjoy a good beer or wine in a great company!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to hang out a lot with the local CS Community of Basel and Mulhouse when I lived in Mulhouse, I also hosted quite a lot of people. Since I moved to Strasbourg in 2010 my life changed and I stopped being involved into CouchSurfing so much although I still keep a few CS contacts and always have a fun CS story to tell :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2009 I went out for Saint Patrick's Day party in Basel with the Couchsurfers and after a lot of drinking and dancing bonded with another Couchsurfer - the Scottish girl Sarah who became my very dearest friend. That is my BEST CS experience.

Interests

Well, parties sound great but I think I'm getting older and I cant physically party a lot now compare to youngsters but Im always glad to grab a beer with my friends and go dancing somewhere, have fun but only on weekends. Certainly I'm not just regular alcoholic :-) I like reading (yes, sometimes just Glamour and Cosmopolitan and not some fancy smart books)and traveling (if I have time AND money).

Music, Movies, and Books

I love any kind of music, it depends on my mood, the situation, if Im alone or with someone, in the train, in the car, jogging or walking, or staying at home. This might be britsh rock, french electro, some russian rock, techno, deep house or latino.
Books - it depends if I want to read something smart or just kill the time!The last time Im trying to read more of the russian literature(in russian) , the contemporary one, I love it and it helps not to forget my mother tongue.
Films - Le premier jour de reste de ma vie, Harvey Milk any fun movies, or dramas, no horros please, and sometimes the documentaries about russian hitory of 20th century (to try to understand how could we do all of this!!)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can run for some meters barefoot on the snow. This is how my gran raised me to help me to be strong. I think it worked :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach maybe the languages that i speak, and the programms for architects lol. but i think Im not patient enough to be a good teacher.
As I mentioned before I'm learning spanish and later I'd like to learn german and portuguese, german is useful and portuguese sounds just so great!
