About Me

CURRENT MISSION

going on a trip to Scandinavia to visit some friends!

ABOUT ME

I'd like to describe myself as a serious but social and fun-loving person. Everything I do, I do with the fullest dedication and I will never give up on my dreams. I like to hang out with friends, they take in a big part of my live and are very important to me. I am interested in making friends all over the world, since I just love to be around people with different cultures, different opinions and different ways of life.

In December 2009 I went to Mexico for an exchange semester at a Mexican university. This experience has really been live changing for me! I met so many people, travelled around the country and had the greatest experiences. I fell so much in love with this country I, that I stayed there for almost a year. After this experience, I realized that the world has to offer so many beautifull places and that someday I want to have seen it all.

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem! and "it's never too late"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Ever since I heard from this project I thought it was such an amazing and simple project that I decided I wanted to be part of it some day. Right now I am more focussed on visiting other countries and couches, but in the future I would like to make my couch available for other interessting people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed three times in my life, firstly when I was making a roadtrip from New York to Guadalajara, Mexico. Both these times were very nice! The first time was in Panama Beach, Florida, where in the end me and my friend even got a room for ourselves given up by a resident of the house. The second time we were received with open arms in an appartment in San Antonio, Texas were we were taken care of great. Great meals were cooked for and unfortunately we could not stay some more time there.
Then when I was in Spain with a friend from the US we couchsurfed in Toledo with a great guy who showed us around and told us great legend stories.

Interests

First of all I am interested in traveling. I have been living and working in Malaysia for the most of the pas year. Now I am back in the Netherlands, where I want to stay for a while but I will definitely not give up traveling!
Besides this, I am interested in learning different languages. At this moment I speak Dutch, English and Spanish fluently. I also have knowledge of French and German. Lastly, I love doing sports. My favorite sports is field hockey, which I play since I was 8 years old. Furthermore, I like to go running and I recently bought a racing bike, which I really enjoy.
