I love people. I don't care for cats, but I don't hold it against people who do. I am working with refugee employment assistance in Silver Spring and like my job, particularly all of the interesting people I get to meet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to travel and to talk to different types of people. I like the idea of CouchSurfing: connecting people who know an area with people who don't. I still feel new in DC and would love to do some sight-seeing with visitors or meet up with other people in the area. With summer coming up, there will be lots of lovely things to do outside and there are always the Smithsonian museums.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I traveled for a few weeks in France and Italy with Couchsurfers and think that CS is even more wonderful that it first appears. My favorite part has been sharing little bits of everyday life in foreign places. I have traveled enough to know how nice it is to have local insight, and even though I can't offer a place to stay at the moment, but I'd be glad to go to museums/monuments with someone.

Intereses

Food and cooking, storytelling, jokes, board and card games. Also learning new things.

Música, películas y libros

I like all kinds of books, take recommendations, and especially like narratives that make you think or open your eyes to new worlds. I love movies too, although I am pretty uneducated when it comes to cinema. I do really enjoy learning about it though, and especially like movies that tell about humanity (like Shawshank Redemption), look like they were fun to make (Kill Bill), or just make you feel good (Love Actually).

I have sky-dived once, and it was pretty great. (New Zealand, 2005)

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I'm not sure what I can teach... maybe how to shell a large number of peanuts without hurting your fingers or how to sew on a button.

I do love to learn anything when the person teaching is passionate about it.
