About Me
See my previous travels at: https://www.instagram.com/annieztchen/
Here's a bit about me :) I'm currently a grad student studying in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. I grew up in Toronto for the majority of my life but have lived extended periods of time in Guangzhou (6 yrs), Tanzania (2 months), Hong Kong (3 months), and Winnipeg (2 months). I've worked for some time in a large accounting firm as well, which required lots of travelling. I've had to adapt to a variety of different environments and became very independent and curious as a result. My life motto is to never stop learning! I love challenging myself, learning about cultures, and of course, making new friends! :D
I made my account back in 2015 but haven't decided to try out Couchsurfing until now. Please forgive my lack of references as I've never been hosted/done hosting, but do not fear, I will be a very respectful and clean guest!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to broaden my worldview and increase my empathy!
Interests
I highly enjoy photography, art (sketching and viewing exhibits), music (playing piano and ukulele, watching concerts), trying new foods, reading up on various topics (psychology, philosophy, self- improvement, business), long distance running (eventually want to run a marathon!), hiking, and watching movies. I like parties and I'm a social drinker, but prefer to remain sober for my health.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you about Canadian and Chinese culture and language, and I would love to trade thoughts on life philosophies and experiences - we can trade our stories. What motivates you? What are your passions? How did you get to where you are? Where do you think you'll be going and how do you decide that?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Travel stories, languages (conversational Cantonese and Mandarin, and to a lesser degree, French), accounting and finance knowledge (according to what I'm studying in school LOL), laughter and wonderful conversations :)
