Overview
About Me
I've just moved to the Tokyo area for grad school. Looking to meet anyone and everyone - my Japanese is pretty dire but I'm keen to learn!
I love talking to people and listening to what they have to say - whether it be beliefs, opinions, or just plain crazy stories and anecdotes. I'm sure most people using Couchsurfing have a good arsenal of weird and wonderful travel stories :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get to know people in Tokyo and hopefully fit some new adventures in between my studies
Interests
Books. Books are excellent. I also love writing my own short stories and flash fiction, as well as dabbling in mediocre student journalism efforts.
Travelling/adventuring in general. I am passionate about environmental issues and love the outdoors.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a sucker for anything by Ray Bradbury or Kurt Vonnegut.
Ursula le Guin.
Isaac Asimov.
Could re-watch Studio Ghibli films until the end of time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the sun rise over the grand canyon after doing conservation work for 10 days on the north rim.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've been told I have a penchant for sarcasm and dark humour if these are things you need to be schooled in!
I write as a hobby, mostly casually at the moment, but am always happy to try and give constructive feedback on other people's work if they've got some lying around :)
