Hello, my name is Annie :) I’m from the US. I quit my job in July 2017 to solo backpack around the world. That has been one of the most incredible and rewarding experiences of my life. Now (2020) as I settle down back home, I am trying to pursue my passion in a career as a personal trainer!

My health is a big priority for me - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I am very passionate about my personal-development and growth. I love to travel, exercise, read, meditate, stretch, bike, cook, spend time outdoors in nature, and form connections all over the world. I am adventurous, spontaneous, and generally curious but I’m also organized, responsible, timely, and considerate. I’m a yoga enthusiast but the extent of my knowledge is YouTube videos at home. I would love to develop more in that area in time. I am always open to learning. I am learning more about myself everyday and love to learn from others and the environment around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like getting a local’s perspective and experiencing unique situations I’d never have without knowing them. Some of my experiences with locals are my most memorable. After traveling for so long, I appreciate finding a home away from home and enjoying a home-cooked meal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived, swam with rehabilitated sharks that were released into the ocean the next day, hitchhiked in Australia and ended up trucking for 3 days.
