About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a curious individual and try to keep an open mind in everything I do. Knowing many different types of people, I can get along with just about anyone without too many problems. I am generally easygoing! I started college by studying art and photography, but I majored in biology. I finally graduated in December, so I'm ready to get out there and travel some more before starting my career!!! :)
PHILOSOPHY
There are way too many things to do in this world not to try a good few of them. You never know when you're going to leave this world...so you better get out there and do the things you want to do and see the places you want to see before you go!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've stayed with friends while they hosted, and it was fun seeing who came through. I've never lived in a situation where hosting can be an option, but I hope to one day. For now, I'll be the traveler!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The few Couchsurfing experiences I've had have been fantastic! If I wasn't always so busy with school, I would travel a lot more with Couchsurfing. It's far better than staying in a hotel because you get to meet people and hear about the places you visit from a perspective you would totally miss by going the tourist route.
Interests
I can enjoy both a rural environment and an urban one just as well. I enjoy riding horses, doing photography, drawing, painting, hiking, swimming, camping, and exploring new places.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh just any kind of music can agree with me. :) My coworker put on some music earlier today that I really enjoyed...it was a Celtic/West African blend...I'm going to a metal festival in late July...yep, just about anything!
My favorite movies are The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Royal Tenenbaums, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo...and probably a LOT more that I'm missing.
One recent read I enjoyed was The Modern American Woman by Susan Ware. I'm currently reading Wild by Cheryl Strayed. The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath, was really good as well, despite how dark it was.
My interests vary along a wide range of genres for any of these things.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove 8,000 miles around the U.S. and explored national parks and cities along the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn any language! I've studied Spanish a bit and have dabbled in Japanese, but I have a long way to go. If anyone wants to know about some photography or biology, I would be happy to talk about it! Or heck, exchanging travel stories is absolutely wonderful too.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Friendly conversation, travel adventures (both stories and making new ones)...I can help with English...I also love doing photoshoots, so if anyone wants their photos taken, I can definitely do that!
