Hey!

I'm a Finnish/British gal studying Psychology in Glasgow, Scotland, but I'm currently on exchange in Madrid. I spend my free time meeting up with friends in cosy cafés, having movie nights with flatmates, jamming on my ukulele, teaching debating, or baking chocolate chip cookies. My little house plants are my pride and joy, my happy place is in the forest or the beach, and I'm always up for an ABBA song in karaoke. I love a good potluck, dinner, movie or games night, and occasionally enjoy going out to a club with a good group of friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Two years ago I worked as an au pair and babysitter in Lille, France, and I met some great people in Couchsurfing events. I traveled a lot back then as well, and I'd love to get back into it. I haven't done a lot of Couchsurfing yet, but I really enjoy discovering new cities with locals and connecting with international people, and in my experience Couchsurfing has been great for just that.

Interests

Music, singing and playing the guitar/ukulele, travelling, learning languages, watching TED talks, listening to podcasts, cooking and baking, dancing, reading, to name a few. I love taking on new projects such as learning languages, playing new songs or instruments or knitting a challenging pair of Christmas socks.

I'm also very interested in environmental issues and living a sustainable lifestyle. I am actively trying to reduce my consumption of plastic, don't go shopping, and I'm vegan. I'll be more than happy to cook vegan food for you if you'd like!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories from the various countries I've visited and from working with kids in France (quite a ride), tasty vegan food, jam sessions (if you happen to have a guitar or ukulele), and a good laugh, hopefully!

As a guest I enjoy spending time with my hosts, but I'm also very independent so don't worry about leaving me to my own devices if you are busy.
