About Me

CURRENT MISSION

leave your desk, see the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a graphic designer, currently living in and around Milan, Italy. I try to make the most of my time, being hand and/or mind sometimes behind an album cover, sometimes behind a lens, sometimes (not as often as i wish, though) behind a song. Traveling through places and people has become a sort of pulse...moving around, seeing new things (and sometimes seeing the old ones, too) makes me feel better. If there's one thing I've understood in this last year, it's that life does not flow behind a desk.

PHILOSOPHY

Mind is a razorblade.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live close to the citycentre in Milan with a guy and a girl! The flat has a common kitchen-livingroom, there is my flatmate's bedroom, a mezzanine with a sofa and some furniture, and then my room which is a double. It's maybe better for you if you have your own sleeping bag, but we can offer you some sheets without any probem, just in case.
Please note we work all day long and sometimes we don't even get home before 8 or maybe 9pm, I'm sorry about that (but... you know, designers' life is loaded)! Anyway we'll try to be available and we'll be very happy to catch up and hang out the rest of the time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but determined to get the most of it!

Interests

On top of everything, of course, there's music. I keep thinking that it's what I want to make my living with, but i'm still trying to work out the best way to do it. Then there are books, and movies (oh really!?) and since when I left home, cooking/baking has turned out to be something I very much enjoy. And sure, in my top 5 I must include what I've been trained for: graphic design, which sometimes becomes typography, sometimes illustration.
Never leave home without my sketchbook.

Music, Movies, and Books

My top5s keep changing everyday. No limits to music genres, from jazz to dubstep, listened and played.
Favourite book (at least the one I can think of right now) is 'Invisible cities', by Calvino.
Movies, almost impossible to say. I don't trust people that have a favourite one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A 5 am walk on the Malecon (L'Havana, Cuba) when jet lag wouldn't let us sleep. Spotting foxes in my garden at night, from the window, sipping hot tea (London). Walking with a scottish 70 year-old man, down a lonely hill, listening to his stories (Fort William, Scotland).
