About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy life and meet a whole lot of interesting people along the way

ABOUT ME

- I am big fan of people. As such, I enjoy good conversation, story-sharing, random outings etc.

- It is easy for me to get starry-eyed when I think of all the things I want to do and places I want to go. (...gradually working my way down the list.)

- I love ❤️ to dance! The Lindy Hop, is one of my favorite things in the whole world, dancing has created one of my favorite ways to travel. (The schedule for various city's dance nights helps to give shape to a lot of my travel planning).

- When exploring, I am most content when I find: good food, warm people, and always a bonus if there is live music and dancing!

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoy life; bring joy to others...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had lovely times as both a host and a surfer, but these days (with a day job and all) I'm more of a host. My dog and I live about a 10 minute bicycle ride from the French Quarter; we have a lot of friends/family members pass through town, so many times my couch is already spoken for, but we will let you know about availability on a case by case basis.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has proved itself to be an amazing institution...speaking from the perspective of both a host and a surfer. Aside from travelling for dance events, couchsurfing is my favorite way to experience local culture and meet wonderful people in the process.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

So difficult.

I typically love all things that make a lasting impact (joyful, sad, contemplative depending on my mood etc).

I’m also down the non-fiction rabbit hole currently.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked in an orphanage and a leper colony in Delhi...it was intense.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely teach you some dance steps...and then take you out to some local venues if you're up for it :)
I am also a pretty good cook (if I do say so myself.) I quite enjoy sharing meals and subsequently conversations with people.

Also, let’s learn more about nonviolent communication?
