About Me

I am Annie, mix of Danish and Zambian. I love to travel abroad and experience new things.
I’m an outgoing person, who really enjoys life. Humour and self-irony fits me quite well, and I believe that makes life easier and more lightly
I like as much a quiet night at home with a film and maybe a glass of red wine, as going out dancing, listening to good music.
I love spontaneity, but also appreciate the well-organized and planed: bit of both.
Quite sociable, humorous and easy going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Quite a while ago I heard about couchsurfing; my Italian friend and neighbour had many visitors and I got to know them when we did things together. I was very intrigued by the opportunities that couchsurfing gives one another. It gave me courage and eagerness to couchsurf myself. The most funny thing is that I already did it before but in a more casual way. I have stayed with friends in Florida, Mauritius, Switzerland and other places. So instead of knowing people before handed, I am knowing people after staying with them. That is quite cool.

Interests

I do enjoy going out, having a few drinks and enjoy life.
I have been dancing salsa and been to a few venues (Athens, London, Zurich etc) where I participated workshops. I love dancing and when it is combined with travelling, it is almost perfect for me. Being active is essential to me, so I also enjoy skiing, watersports, diving, climbing and surfing.
The more relaxed interests I very much like are film, cinema, restaurants and I am almost always up for a board game, not the typical board game such as Monopoly and Trival Pursuit, but the ones with strategies and dilemmas.
Quite spiritual as well, not in a religious way, but finding meaning and understanding for what is going on in our way of life and our feelings when psychology and science doesn’t have the answer.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite film is The Matrix back in 2000. It was the most surprising film I ever seen and it had an insightful message with so much action and beautiful scenes.
The book “You can heal your life” by Louise Hay reminds me why one sometimes feel pain. I am fascinated by her view on our lives.
Almost everyday I listen to al kinds of music, mostly Lounge mix…
