About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to experience the world at large and share my adventures with those still grounded through the wonderful art of writing.
ABOUT ME
I'm obsessed with travel, as I'm sure everyone involved in this sight is as well. I'm currently trying my hand at travel writing in order to combine my two loves (can you guess what they are?) while meeting new people and experiencing all sorts of cultures. I love daytime adventures such as hiking, surfing (but I'll admit I'm a newbie), snowboarding, waterskiing, really anything that involves movement and maybe a splash of sunshine.
On the contrary, I'm also quite the homebody. I love to cook and relax and enjoy being home when I am. But when visitors come around I will admit it's my guilty pleasure to take them around to all the sights and enjoy my own lovely city on the bay (San Francisco).
PHILOSOPHY
Je n'ai pas le temps de perdre la tête. Nous sommes juste les humaines. I'm young and fresh out of University and just want to breath in the air and experience as much as I can before my limbs give way and old age starts to set in (which will hopefully be never).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As of now, I'm actually looking for places to stay only. I'm traveling across Australia for the next coming month and would really like to get a taste of the Aussie lifestyle. When I return stateside I probably won't be able to host guests but once I'm settled my door will be wide open.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I can't say I've had much CouchSurfing experience of my own but my neighbor back in Eugene, Oregon always had surfers over. I really enjoyed the diverse people coming through and it's always fun to hear why they chose to come to the little town in Oregon in the first place. We'd play Cranium and had a few beers and I can only hope to have this same kind of experience on the other end of things (meaning I want to be able to experience the country's culture as people would everyday).
Interests
Well, a lot of things. I'm a writer so I read a lot as well. But, as I said before, I love being outdoors and running around. I'm pretty much up for anything. I'm flexible like that.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Zoolander, Batman Begins
Music: Zero 7, Thievery Corporation
Books: One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Revolutionary Road, Adam Haslett's short stories, Richard Bausch's short stories, Flannery O'Connor's short stories (yes, I know. A lot of short stories...) and I'm secretly falling in love with Peter Carey's True History of the Kelly Gang
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once went gorge swinging in Zambia. They closed the operation down the year after I went because someone died (yikes!). I also swam with dolphins when I was eight (had a real cute picture it giving me a kiss).
Teach, Learn, Share
"Be happy for the successes of your friends. For a success for one of us is a success for all of us." ~Richard Bausch
I've been living by that quote for the past two years and I can guarantee you my life has been better because of it. Envy is a waste of an emotion and there's nothing better than being truly happy for someone who truly deserves happiness. I'm a firm believer in karma and the more happiness you spread, the more will come back your way.
