About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am from Melbourne, Australia and I have been travelling the world and living in the UK over the past few years. I am planning a 3 and a half week trip through Vietnam late November to mid December. I will be a solo traveller so I'm keen to meet up with other travellers along the way to share experiences with. Please let me know if you are doing a similar trip!

ABOUT ME

I believe I'm an open-minded, respectful and considerate person. I love exploring new areas, cultures & meeting new like-minded people. I enjoy having a few drinks with good company, good food and good music. I'm interested in learning more about different cultures, history, languages, food, music, art...etc

I travelled extensively around Europe in 2012 where I enjoyed some amazing couchsurfing experiences. I returned to my hometown Melbourne to work and save money for just over a year. Then I embarked on another adventure around parts of the USA, central America and South America. After this amazing trip, I found myself back in England where I lived in Bristol for a year and a half and London for 6 months. It is now time I return home!

PHILOSOPHY

Live in the moment and be open to embracing new opportunities as they arise.

Treat others with respect, and if they do not reciprocate, it is their problem, not yours.

End each day with a positive thought and a good song to accompany that thought.

Nothing is more satisfying than a combination of good company, good music and good food & wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

While in Melbourne, I have met CouchSurfers visiting the area to hang out and show them around. When I was in Europe and the USA, I was hosted by some amazing couchsurfers. I am always interested to meet current travelers and locals to the area to hear about their experiences and share experiences together.

Interests

I absolutely love listening to and playing music (the world would be a miserable place without it), and discovering new bands. I love spending time wining and dining with friends and exploring new places to hang out and visit! I am interested in traveling (of course) art, photography, culture, languages, reading, nature, history, yoga, pilates and pole dancing. I love animals, especially dogs. I am environmentally friendly.

While I travel, I enjoy participating in a diverse range of experiences...anything from visiting art galleries & museums to seeing markets & eating local food to drinking in bars & listening to live music to walking around in cities to drinking coffee at a cafe to visiting the countryside to swimming at the beach...to adventure sports...to hiking...the list goes on!

There are just too many bands to name, I can't even begin.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn about different cultures and learn different languages; I always admire multilingual people :-) I am really interested in learning more Spanish and improving my French! I embrace knowledge and am always open to new perspectives and advice about travelling, music, the world, art, history, culture, food, politics, the environment...the list goes on! I also love food and drinking, so trying some different cuisines is always a treat!

Maybe in return I can teach you something about music (eg instruments I have played - piano, violin, guitar, flute) and give you some physiotherapy advice haha If English is not your first language I can definitely help you perfect it!
