ABOUT ME

Hey beautiful people of this world. My name is Antje and I am currently living in Berlin. I am working as a teacher in an elementary school. I love working with kids and having (hopefully) a positive impact on their lifes. I am working a lot, except during school holidays, which is when I try to travel as much as I can.
Before teaching, I lived in Atlanta, GA (USA) and worked there as an au pair. I really loved the culture and traveling around the country. I am still amazed by all the places that I've seen in the US and the people I met. I enjoy meeting new people as well as exploring new cities and places.

Couchsurfing is a great way to meet people from all around the world and to share different life experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE

So far, I have stayed on other people's couches but haven't hosted anyone yet, mainly because I am either working a lot (partly from home) or traveling. I would consider hosting other people to show them around my amazing city, if it's during a school holiday. Otherwise I wouldn't be around much and I wouldn't want my guests waking up super early each morning when I have to go to work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All my couchsurfing experiences have been pretty great so far, no matter whether I was couchsurfing with friends or on my own. It's awesome spending time with locals and getting to know them better and the surroundings.

Intereses

I love traveling and getting to know new cultures and everything that they bring with them (food, people and their mentalities, sights, traditions, etc.). I also love music....the world would be such a quiet place without it! Whenever I can, I listen to music, I like to sing while driving and I love to dance. I enjoy any type of arts and being creative. Further, I like baking, reading, taking pictures, going to the movies and, of course, spending time with my friends and family.

The most amazing thing I have ever done was going to the States to live there for about 4 years. I made so many wonderful experiences and met amazing people while experiencing the American culture.

There is always something to learn from other people, be it a language, a new dish, a tradition in a city, a lesson in life, etc.
I am always willing to teach German, if someone is interested in learning the language...
I can teach you some dance moves, too and give you some advice on good books to read about personal development and growth.
