About Me

(Our sincere sorry to all requests during the Corona virus pandamic that we could not accept nor reply you. Now it's been safe enough, we are willing to receive you)

NOTE:

* 💖 If you speak English, Korean or Chinese (languages that I can handle to understand you) and / or with kid(s), don't hesitate to contact me. I would be very happy to receive you.
(I set it max 2 surfers at 1 time, but if you are with kids or reliable friends, small family/group is welcomed. We have playground for kids right in the building which your kids will definitely love spending time there. Go ahead to text me)

** 💖💖 Our new home is at Nguyen Hoang str. in the modern part of the city. The very big My Dinh bus station is just across the street and Grab, taxi right in front of the lobby. Fast food, restaurants, supermarkets, cinemas are all available around.

*** 💖💖💖 I would welcome anyone (1 person at a time) who speaks perfect English to stay long with us, like a cultural exchange. If you do, send me a message first. We can discuss about how long possible then you can make a request. I always feel very sorry to say "No", so please don't make me do that before getting to really know what you want.

Note 2018 summer: I and my 2 kids, Tom and Lizzie are traveling in the US until end of July.

Hello beautiful World,

I am Annie, a gonna be 42-year-old happy Mom of 2 kids relatively born in 2006 and 2010 and a happy wife of a kind 44-year-old husband. We are living in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam in South East Asia.

We are an active and fun family. We all love traveling and always save our annual leaves of the whole year to spend in summer. However, my husband, who is working for the Ministry of Construction in Vietnam, is very busy, he can only travel with us in short trips. So, in most longer-than-10-day trips, I have always been traveling with my son and daughter.

Since I not only aim to open a bigger world for my kids to discover but also hope they can learn from any people they meet, we started couch surfing and hosting guests in our sweet-home. Every time we couchsurf or host we have unforgettable memories, especially our long trips in Europe and US, we were the recipients of amazing kindness and love.

I am very much into cultural exchange. I believe that you will be interested in our culture which is very rich and diverse, too. I do appreciate any opportunities my kids have to stay with a local family when we travel or with surfers staying with us. They would be able to know about other culture, sharpen their English as well as communication skills and make lifelong friends throughout the world. I believe that my kids could grow their souls much more beautiful from those nice experiences.

About me, I am a cheerful, life-lover and very optimistic person. I used to be a volunteer teacher, then a regional sales manager for a German commercial brand until I decided to quit and live my life, do my own business.

About my husband, he is the kindest man in the world that I've ever known. He is calm and very good at his work. He gets respect from everyone he meets, including me, the one who has known him for over 18 years. I mean, big RESPECT. A wife not only loves but looks up to her husband, is it a normal thing? I hope it is ^^

About my kids, they are well educated, independent, cheerful, very friendly. They are good boy and girl, I would say.

My son whose name is Tom, is good at sports (soccer, badminton, table tennis, swimming…) and very good at Maths. If your kids are younger, he definitely could help as a tutor of Maths. Besides, he likes playing chess and (board) games. And he draws very well, too.

My daughter’s name is Sóc. She's gonna be 12 in August '22. She loves drawing and roller skating. She usually tells stories in her drawings and goes skating with her friends in the park. She is very warm-hearted, an animal lover and a very attentive and caring friend. For now, she is looking for an English name for foreign friends to call her easier. She has a list already but has not yet decided which one to choose. If you meet her, please help her ^^ (update: she is Lizzie now :p)

Both of my kids often help Mom do housework at home. They are clean and neat, well organized and very helpful.

Thank you for your time reading my profile. Best wishes to everyone in this beautiful planet.
