Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC:
I love classical music, my favorite composers include Antonin Dvorak, Dimitri Shostakovich, and George Gershwin. I enjoy pretty much all types of music (including country); some of my favorite artists are Johnnyswim, NEEDTOBREATHE, Switchfoot, Mumford and Sons, Ed Sheeran, Noah Kahan, The Lumineers, Kaleo, and a bunch of others.

MOVIES:
MY favorite movies include The Breakfast Club, Midnight in Paris, Mean Girls, National Treasure (mostly because I love American history), the Bourne Identity series, I Robot. I love action movies and comedy and I do not like scary movies. My favorite TV shows are The Office, Parks and Recreation, House M.D., Psych, and Miranda.

BOOKS:
I really love reading children's books. My favorite authors are Roald Dahl and Donald Miller, my favorite books are The Twenty-One Balloons (by William Pene du Bois), Blue Like Jazz, and A Million Miles in a Thousand Years (both by Donald Miller). I enjoy reading Sherlock Holmes mysteries and classic works of literature (especially Dickens). I also like poetry, although I don't read it too often; my favorite poem is The Ballad of Reading Gaol (by Oscar Wilde).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked the Appalachian Trail.
(SOBO 2021)

Delivering baby goats while I was working on a farm in Montana - it was both terrifying and amazing at the same time.

Learning to ride a motorcycle. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to read music and I have a massive reserve of random trivia that I can recite if prompted. I'm learning to play the guitar and could teach you some very basic skills and would love to learn from a better player. I always love hearing recommendations for great places to travel and things to do and am always looking to learn new skills.
