About Me

I'm a brand new adult, finished school and now at my first real full-time job where I have to actually book time off for vacations. I'd consider myself very "go with the flow" while travelling, taking things as they come, and just trying to enjoy the now. I'm also an extrovert, so when travelling I have the most fun if I can share my experiences with someone; whether we're exploring the streets, getting a coffee at some cafe, or drinking wine with a scenic view.

I just finished a 4-month around the world trip where I backpacked around Europe/the Balkans, Thailand, and Japan. The best times I had were while couch surfing, hanging out with people I met at hostels, or random encounters with locals that turned into real friendships. Now I've had enough time to decompress and be part of the workforce and am ready to travel and have some new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've used couch surfing as a cheaper alternative to hostels, but found that my favorite part is becoming friends with my hosts - and even maintaining the contact after. I think couch surfing enables me to meet people I would have never encountered in normal circumstances, and as a result I get to experience things that become some of my favorite memories of the trip. Even if my host doesn't have enough time to explore the city with me, getting that local's information like where their favorite hang out it, underground parties, or cheap sight-seeing places is invaluable information and because of that I love couch surfing, and try to use it whenever I travel.
