About Me

After studying Architecture and Urban Planning in Stuttgart, Germany, I spend the last year in Bangalore, India, working/volunteering for a NGO in the city sanitation planning and Solid Waste Management. Since Urbanization is happing all over the world and cities can have so many more qualities if they are planned (in a sustainable way), I'm now doing my Master in Cities & Sustainability in Aalborg, Denmark.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've lived in a flat with 29 roommates while studying in Stuttgart. I miss having people around all the time and getting to know new people just by sitting in my own kitchen. There are so many rooms & spaces to share in every city, so why not sharing it?

Interests

I love running (I'm kind of addicted to it) or doing sports in general. I started rock climbing when I was very small, but keeping it up is a little more challenging since I left my hometown. Hiking and cycling and I would like to get into surfing. I also found my passion for Yoga and am a Yoga Teacher myself. Oh, and I just recently started cyrwheel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've spend a lot of time with literature growing up.There are many different books I really like, for example "The book thief" by Markus Zusak and "The sky is everywhere" by Jandy Nelson.
My favorite author used to be Laurie Halse Anderson - her writing style is capturing. Right now I really like Irvin Yalom.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running has been very important for me and I did it very ambitious (competitive?), so after High School I went to Ethiopia - a fascinating country for and regarding running. I had a coach running with me and thaught kids in spoken english and sports. Ethiopia is full of amazing cultures and I truly had an inspiring time there.
Having the chance of an athletic scholarship few years later, I spend one year in Savannah, GA (USA), running and studying at the Savannah College of Art and Design .
The last year, as a contrast to the great running experiences before, I was living and working in India - not that much of a sportive place, but full of other colorful experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love running and do it almost every day. Somehow people around me start doing it, too. So I can be motivation for it =)

Yoga of course.
