Hello
my name is Annika and I’m a 21 years-old girl from Germany who wants to see the world. I finished school in March 2018 and now I want to discover the life beyond the school life.
I consider myself a broad-minded, uncomplicated and cheerful person who's always happy and loves to tell jokes and make puns.
I love to socialize with new people while listening to good music at a bar or watching tv shows together. I like sports especially jogging, but unfortunately I like good food just as much. My hobbies also include aikido, a martial art, whose aim it is to live and solve conflicts harmonically.

My political orientation is a liberal but eventhough I have a clear opinion on most complicated topics I'm very interessted in learning about other beliefs and discussing these in a peaceful way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As often as I have got the time I want to travel and explore the world! I hope that I can stay by locals to learn about the culture and habits in these countries.
My English skills are sufficient but I would like to improve them by talking.
I'm convinced that there is a huge difference between staying at a hotel and just paying for the stay and living close together with the hosts and getting to know them better personally while giving something back to them for their hospitableness.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan although they are not really my generation ... unfortunately! I like the romantic atmosphere you experience while listening to vinyls.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While attending a project organised by the University in Mayence, I was able to experience a light version of how it must be to be a Couchsurfer as I stayed at a friendly host. Eventhough he was twice my age, we got along way better than I expected. At the end of the stay he descibed my as very "confiding", which makes me even more excited to try this kind of travelling like Couchsurfing.
