I’m Annie, and (as you can probably tell) I absolutely love to travel. I make the most of my free time exploring new countries. Having graduated in 2023, I’m currently in my second year of solo backpacking around the world. I’d be thrilled if anyone wants to join me for a bit or host me along the way! Overall, I’m an easy-going and adventurous person who’s all about spreading peace and happiness around the world.

Couchsurfing is the best way to meet people from all over the world. It’s all about exchanging cultures, opinions, values, and knowledge. The platform gives you the chance to truly experience how people live in the places you visit.

On top of that, I’d love to improve my Spanish skills. I’ve already learned more in the past few weeks while traveling through Central America than I did in three years of Duolingo!

My music taste really depends on my mood – and there's always a perfect Spotify playlist to match! In general, I listen to a lot of German indie music and recently I’ve been getting into some great Spanish and Country songs. Wild combination, I know. But I’d be happy to share some of my favorites with you!

As for reading, I’m always up for any book that comes my way. Since it’s a bit tricky to carry books in a backpack, I’m really grateful for the bookshelves in hostels – they’re a lifesaver :)

I managed to break free from my Netflix habit, so I don’t watch many movies or shows these days. Life’s too short to stay in bed, right? But I did enjoy some series like Manifest, Élite, The Vampire Diaries, The Big Bang Theory, Prison Break and Breaking Bad

Every journey I take is a unique experience I wouldn’t want to miss. In 2019, I did my first solo trip through Europe, traveling with only carry-on luggage for two months – it was an exciting adventure that inspired me to embark on my world backpacking tour.
