ABOUT ME

After finishing my studies of water resources and environmental management I worked as an engineer involved in planning of waste water treatment plants for nearly two year. Now I´m working on a cruise ship as environmental officer, which is at the moment the perfect job for me as I get to work with international crew, get so see nice places and am able to spend lots of time on the seas.
I think I´m a shy person, but usually it only lasts for 10 minutes :-)
I´ve been working as a chimney sweeper (yes, like in Mary Poppins) for 2 years in Germany and as a dive instructor in Australia for 6 months.

PHILOSOPHY

As I had to fight cancer in 2011 I really think I should use the time I have on this planet doing what makes me happy. Unfortunately not always that easy ;-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I´m trying to find some couch to stay everywhere I go as I think that's some kind of real travel experience.
As I will be living on the seas for about 8 months per year and I don´t have my own place anymore hosting might be a bit difficult...and I´m not sure if it´s so interesting to stay in a tiny village between Bremen and Hamburg when there are so many other nice places in Germany to discover :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spent a few night surfing in Indonesia,Jordan and Costa Rica...
It seems that I lost my fear of dogs while surfing in Costa Rica...but that still needs some more tests to be absolutely confirmed ;-)
Hosted surfers from Austria, Spain and Philippines...

Interests

I really really really love diving-can´t imagine anything better! I also like photography, hiking, music, books, meeting friends...

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading, can't read books from librabries as I need to own them ;-)
Movies...well, Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Three Idiots, Up, depends soo much on my mood!
Music needs to be loud!! My three favourite songs at the moment are The Real Thing-Faith no More; The Mission-Pucifer (Thank you Nick :-)) and Drops of Jupiter-Train....but there are sooo many more songs I like
