About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Other people work for living, I work for travelling

ABOUT ME

I didn't only study cultures and the way they organize their everyday life but I'm also interessted in this in my vacant time. I would say that travelling is my numer one hobby.
But I also like to show other people my hometown; typical places, typical dishes, typical activities,...
I'm always up for a beer (or coffee) and a talk. I love to talk nonsense, but I also wouldn't mind proper topics ;)

PHILOSOPHY

"Carpe diem" is so old-fashioned but it's true.
I just want to experience as much as possible

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've heard of couchsurfing before. Friends told me the funniest and craziest stories and that's why I don't want to miss that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Sadly I don't have a couch to offer, but I did CouchSurfing in different countries. It's one of the best ways to get to know the people and the culture.

Interests

Right now I'm working for a broadcast in Germany called NDR Kultur. There I combine my favorite hobbies: Experiencing cultural stuff like concerts and exhibitions and organizing them. Dream job :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch "oldfashioned" nonsense movies like "Life of Brian" and "Monty Python and the Holy Grail", but I think I'm quite open for anything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was travelling in Vietnam with my brother and we were walking on a market when we saw a small tent in front of a house. We looked inside and there was this wedding society. We just wanted to watch for a few seconds when they waved at us and asked us to join them. We even were invited to the proper festival where 200 vietnamese guests were expected. We sat there with the family, ate and drank. After 2 hours everything was over, but I'm still excited that I was able to get this view in vietnamese wedding custom.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Cambodia, Canada, China, Colombia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Italy, Kenya, Laos, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Monaco, Myanmar, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, Slovakia, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam
