About Me

I am a farm girl from Austria, a rather small country in the heart of Europe.
I grew up on the countryside, spending plenty of time running round in.the forest and the fields. I still enjoy being outdoors and exploring the landscape whenever I get the chance to. Living on a farm gave me also a great sense of admiration and appreciation of nature and animals.

I was living in LA for almost two years working as an Au Pair. Not only did living in LA shape my perspectives about life, materialism and social settings, but also supporting kids in growing up taught me to take greater responsibility for myself and others.

I am rather open-minded and I enjoy good conversations about all kinds of topics. As I helped out at my dad's farm pretty much all my life, I was raised to be helpful in all situations and be thankful. I enjoy being positive and happy, even though I do need times to rest and reflect for myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Simply: gain life experience, share stories, meet new people and get to know new perspectives on life

Interests

I try to live by the saying "life begins out of your comfort zone".
Therefore I am always up for trying new things and exploring different places. This is mainly what I focused on while living in LA. It was a great experience to get to know a city that stands in great contrast with the area I grew up in.
I love to be outside, not necessarily following through any sport but just enjoy nature itself and its beauty.
I like to do sports, occasionally I run, go for a swim, bike or roller skate but I dont really follow through with any of those sports. I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which actually helped me gain greater balance and control over my body and soul.

I am passionate about music.
I listen to all kinds of music but lately I had gotten into Jazz and Indie music, mostly psychedelic tones. Always happy to get some music suggestions!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy listening to a lot of different kinds of music like classic, pop, funk, Jazz but mostly psychedelic rock and indie. I love going to live concerts or music festivals, feeling the beat of the drums or the vibration of the strings of the electric bass makes the music even more exciting.

Even though I watch pretty much all kinds of movies I mostly enjoy french movies and comedies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once went skinny dipping in a canadian lake when I stayed at a friend's cottage in the woods somewhere outside of Toronto. It was a warm beautiful night, we were swimming underneath the stars, I truly enjoyed this experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to share stories about places or travels with other people or just give advice about things to do or see. I might be free to meet up for a coffee and I can try to make time to show guests around but I can't promise that I will be available.
I can also share some musical skills and knowledge if there's time.
