PHILOSOPHY

There are two rules in life:
1. Everyone has the right to ask for what they want.
2. Everyone has the right to say no.

None of us know how long we will be around, so live each day as though it's your last. Say yes to those new opportunities that come you way. You never know just what you'll find.

Thus far, it's only been by hosting others. I look forward to one day also crashing on others' couches and experiencing it from the other side. :-)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joined CS a few years ago now, but feel like I should have been a member for ages. I've regularly hosted friends and friends of friends who are traveling. I really enjoy meeting new people and sharing stories, experiences and laughter.

Interests

Rock climbing, fire dancing (poi), sailing, tramping, camping, volleyball, fishing, swing dancing (lindy hop), horses, new experiences, pushing my boundaries, laughing until dawn with good company, Burning Man, costumes, meeting good people and traveling to new places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've danced in a giant hot pool, next to a swim-up bar, at the base of Arenal volcano in Costa Rica (a still active volcano where you can look up and see lava at the top) in the rain to Whiter Shade of Pale with a friend I randomly ran into.

Despite it's automatic disqualification due to its association with The Big Chill, it was still a wonderful and somewhat surreal moment.

Most recently I've been to Africa - seeing the Big 5 in a single day was pretty incredible. Truly a trip of a lifetime.
