About Me
ABOUT ME
I am a politics student and a writer, having completed my first novel in December 2015. I get easily fascinated and inspired by places, people, and art. I love to get lost in the atmosphere of a new city, a new way of life. I like browsing through book stores, go to art galleries, concerts or out for a beer in a cosy pub.
PHILOSOPHY
The things that people regret the most are not those they have done, but those they have not done.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have stayed with an American friend who lived in Istanbul at that time and introduced me to all her friends. I also travelled to France with a friend and stayed at the place of an art student who took me to an artist's workplace and cooked traditional French food for us.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Oasis, Florence+ the Machine, Blur
Movies: Requiem For a Dream, Black Swan, Red Road, stuff by Lars von Trier.
Books: American realism including Paul Auster, T.C. Boyle and Alice Munro. Occasional crime novels by Stuart MacBride and old classics like Brontë.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have written a novel which came to partly set in Glasgow. I travelled there for research and fell in love with the city. I now plan to move there. I'm amazed how things that seem so small in the beginning can change your life in such a major way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can show you the local bar scene in Mainz which is a very young and studenty city. I could also teach you a few words in German or show you the most interesting sites in the region around Mainz and Frankfurt. I will cook vegan versions of traditional German meals or international food for you.
Countries I’ve Lived In
Germany, United States
