About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mission - almost- impossible: Save as much money as I can to travel

ABOUT ME

Despite I'm all about writing, the only thing that brain-freezes me is writing about me - and there's no one who knows me better!

Well... I'm a journalist, work for the city government. Studied psychology for 3 years only to find out a bit too late that I wasnt going to be a great psychologist, so, kicked it all and decided to start all over again. No regrets. Then I discovered my passion for photography, so I'm also a photographer.

I have this CS account for a while but it was just for the sake of it. Been told it was nice and all that and joined just to know a little bit more, but things kind of faded and I never logged in again until now... So hopefully this time I will be able to take it 'seriously' and get to meet new people here in my howetown or traveling around!

Love meeting new people... That's it for now!

Music, Movies, and Books

Beatlemaniac since childhood. Fave Beatle? George. Thrill of a lifetime: Going to Liverpool and visit "Beatles Sights" (Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane, Forthlin Road, Mendips, Madryn St, Arnold Grove, Cavern Club, etc etc) which made me cry like a baby -- but don't tell it to anyone. And of course, cross the famous Abbey Road in London.

As far as music goes, I'm very into british bands/singers. Queen, some Led Zeppelin, some Pink Floyd, a bit of Oasis and my favorite guilty pleasure, Take That.

When I was in Edinburgh, I heard a band named The Gorms playin on a whisky bar and loved it.

Another one of my favorite bands is Australia's Silverchair. Also from the land down under, I enjoy The Presets, Midnight Oil, The Dissociatives, Australian Crawl.

From Brazil... the "classics", Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Elis Regina. Lenine is also really really good. Brazilian rock? Barão Vermelho, Titãs, Paralamas.

Shit! I forgot the greatest rock band from the US! Foo Fighters! They're just amaaazing! And Kings of Leon. Also great. Oh and I am the kind of person who travels to go to concerts. Planning to see Foo Fighters next year and maybe, just maybe, Kings of Leon in Rio in November. And Paul McCartney. Oh lord...[plans aborted due to a very, very short budget]

Don't think I have one favorite book, but I'm gonna say I'm reading Frida Kahlo's biography and enjoying it a lot. Oh, and One Day, by David Nicholls (the movie made me want to go to Edinburgh, which I did). Also The Book Thief by Markus Zusak.

And movies... Hmmm... Since I'm a bit nerdy, I'd have to say... all marvel movies featuring the avengers. I'm not saying they're my favorites, but the ones I can think of right now.
