Because it's fun meeting people and hanging out together! I would love to get to know you and your city! I’m not really a hotel kind of person, it’s a much greater experience to meet locals! I also love the altruistic idea behind Couchsurfing. It is, however, not a dating platform, and for me it's important that the people I'm hosting are not just looking for a cheap way to explore NYC, but that they share the same spirit. I am living in Astoria, Queens, a 15min train ride away from Central Park. I recently joined a lab that is focusing on the body and mind connection, for instance how chronic stress affects our body! I’m annoyingly passionate about my research, and I can bother you with this topic for hours! But I am also happy to share my knowledge of German bread and cheese making ;-)
