Overview
About Me
Hey,
my name is Ann-Kristin (Ann for short) and I'm a 20 year old Psychology student from Germany. But don't worry, I won't read your mind. They don't teach that until the third year :D
I always liked going on holiday, but I completely changed my views on traveling when I was going abroad without my parents or teachers to take care of me for the first time. It changed me as a person as well. I still like having time for myself sometimes, but I realised that it's the people in your life and the experiences that you share with them that make you truly happy. I'm quite compassionate so I hope that one day I'll be a good psychotherapist and will be able to help people find their happiness too.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't want to just go for holiday- I want to travel. And for me that means getting in touch with the locals and actually taking in the place where you are staying at. I want to know and understand, because it gives the location I'm in meaning and makes it that much more beautiful.
Somehow visiting all those places made me really excited about showing my home town to strangers. So I'm looking forward to the host side of couchsurfing as soon as my apartment is actually big enough to host another person.
Interests
Music is my passion. Since I haven't been blessed with a sweet singing voice, I mainly express my passion through dancing. I take part in ballroom dacing competitions, but simply moving to any kind of music fills me with joy.
I like to get a balance between nature and culture. I get crazy if I'm not spending enough time with either. So I'm open to any activities, wether it's going to town to chat over a coffee and enjoy the buzzing city life or spent a day in the mountains.

Music, Movies, and Books
A lot of fantasy: Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Die Elfen and so on.
Considering movies, I like when they blow my mind. Also I like the Studio Ghibli movies, which reminds me that I finally have to watch all of them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being invited to stay a couple of days with customers I had in a restaurant in New Zealand. Turned out they had the nicest house next to a lake and they took me and my friend to so many places. They barely knew us and took us into their most private space and did so many things for us, it was overwheming.
And actually just my whole nine month trip to New Zealand, actually. It was challenging, but amazing.
