About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm interested in just about everything and everyone. As far as CS is concerned, the most important aspect about me is that I love people. I love everything about us.
The first incarnation of my profile said I'm probably one of the most high energy people you'll ever meet, but I don't know if that's necessarily true anymore. The older I get the more chill I get. I definitely have joie de vivre, I'm always up for adventure, but I think I'm getting out of my puppy stage :)
As for what I do, I'm a nurse. I chose it for portability but discovered the most amazing thing. IT'S INCREDIBLE. The old saying "if you love what you do you'll never work a day in your life" is so true. Your body is a complex, organic, rudimentary computer. It's such a fascinating system. And as if the science aspect wasn't enough, my job is to nurture and educate and heal. I don't know how I got so lucky.
PHILOSOPHY
"Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience: this is the ideal life" - Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because it's such a damn good idea. What better way to learn about people, places and cultures?

Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Man Man, Deerhunter, Man or Astroman, Dr. Dog, Pixies, Janes Addiction, Beach House, YATCH, Mitylion, Ty Segall, Dr. Cosmos Tape Lounge, Jay Retard, Clipse, Wu-Tang, Talib Kweli, De La Soul... the list is long.
Movies - There isn't a genre I don't like. If it's well scripted, well shot and the plot is sound I'll probably dig it. And of course I like bad movies too. Pacific Rim is probably one of my favorite bad films of all time.
Authors - Issac Asimov, Frank Herbert, Neal Stephenson, Brian Sanderson, Terry Pratchett, Mark Twain, and the list goes on. My favorites genres are hard scifi, classics and satire. Non fiction wise I enjoy South and Central American history.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met the first First Lady of Costa Rica, Henryetta Boggs. My friends didn't tell me who she was, thinking I'd be intimidated. She called me charming ^_^
Teach, Learn, Share
Always try what a restaurant is known for. It's like when Aladdin steals the watermelon from the vendor, people always offer up their juiciest wares.
Also, you should visit the South. People are friendly and the food is superb.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My excitement, my passion for life and, god forbid, medical care ;)
