ABOUT ME
I'm always looking for people to go on adventures with. I have a car and I like to go places, so I'm always looking for someone who can help me read the map...
PHILOSOPHY
Amalgamation of the following:
~ Everyone has the right to make an ass out of themselves (Dame Marjorie Chardin aka Maude)
~ Well-behaved women seldom make history (Laurel Thatcher Ulrich)
~ Human salvation lies in the hands of the creatively maladjusted (Martin Luther King Jr.)
~ All the freaky people make the beauty of the world (Michael Franti)
~ You've got your whole life to do something, and that's not very long (Ani diFranco)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sporadically...
I work a lot, especially during the week, so I don't have a lot of time to participate, but I like showing people around on the weekends.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've made a few good friends and it's been a positive experience. I haven't hosted or surfed... I've mostly used it to meet some local people that live in my area.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite movies include Amelie, Moonrise Kingdom, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Stranger Than Fiction, The Royal Tennenbaums, Lost in Translation, and Harold and Maude.
My musical tastes are eclectic but lately I've been listening to a lot of Devotchka, Beirut, and Calle 13. My long time favorites are Ani DiFranco and David Bowie.
With books there really are too many to list, but some favorite authors include Kurt Vonnegut Jr, Barbara Kingsolver, Elizabeth Gilbert, and J.D. Salinger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I seen the tops of a few pyramids and mountains. I gave up cigarettes. I spent several summers living out of a van while working for a heavy metal concert tour that went across the US and back. I've moved to a few countries on my own and traveled alone quite a bit. I spend my days teaching young humans how to read and other important things.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to do a language exchange of some sort. I pretty much only speak English fluently, but I know a bit of Spanish. I'd love to learn some Thai.
I can also play/ teach the violin and guitar.
I'm an amateur fortuneteller.
