About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find new people and places and open my eyes and mind to the world

ABOUT ME

I've taken a year from work to travel, having never left Australia before. I've been moving since January, first Malaysia, now Europe, wanting to find new things in the world as well as discover more about myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Let everyday be watermelon - know the simple things are just as important

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

I play a little ukulele at the moment, as this is the perfect instrument to travel with. I've taken to learning a lot of skate punk songs (NOFX, Millencolin, Vandals), and perform under the name Someone Else's Jacket back home.

Movies that may change your life
- The Muppet Movie
- The NeverEnding Story
- The Dark Crystal
- The Labyrinth (also know as Davie Bowie's package)
- The NeverEnding Story II (for plot alone, and the concept of traveling by the speed of Dark. The rest is rubbish)
There are more that I cannot think of right now, but movies that make you think are worth talking about, so I love hearing about other peoples opinions of them. Books are the same, and I'm always on the lookout for another good one to read. I think reading is one thing I have missed the most while traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drinking with a man by the name of Bear who confessed a love of hitchhiking and the Swedish winters full of snow.
Busking on the streets of Amsterdam, Stockholm, Rostock, Orebro and Utrecht.
Having an exhibition of my drawings in Brosarp.
Learning how to cook curry in Krabi from a woman who could not speak English. The trick is the ingredients.
Blowing glass in Skane.
Swimming with Lion Fish in Malaysia.
Finding the most amazing people wherever I go.
