About Me
CURRENT MISSION To see! To Learn! To Teach! I left home in early 2017 on what was meant to be a 6 month journey, 15 months later the, adventure that has take me from Toronto to Tulum, Copenhagen, Istanbul, South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania, India, and South East Asia, India again, cycled across Europe following the coastline from Lisbon to Barcelona and presently I am on a quest to visit eco communities and sustainable living projects!
2022 update: After an almost 3 year COVID hiatus, it’s time to hit the road again, this time with my partner along side. We are both plant & nature lovers, are guaranteed to take over your kitchen and cook you an amazing meal, and promise you’ll leave with your far more fun facts then you ever thought possible.
In South Africa I volunteered 6 weeks of my time with the Department of Public Works to help bring Afrika Burn 2017 to life! Afrika Burn is the second largest Burning Man festival outside of the original in Nevada, USA. This meant camping out in the Karoo desert working our butts off each day to build a temporary city for 13,000 participants!! If you have been to The Burn or want to know anything about it, I would love to speak with you! I have been to Burning Man twice and Afrika Burn once. It's one of those topics you can never speak enough about! Much like India, I'd be happy to speak with you for days about India as well! ABOUT ME I am a fun loving, active and, easy going person that is out to experience life to the fullest! I spend most of my free time out with friends, enjoying delicious vegan food, reading or exploring new places in my own city. I live in the core of Toronto and love everything about this city! PHILOSOPHY Leave everyone you meet better than how you found them, and allow them to do the same for you.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have participated in CS on several fronts, in the early days I had met with a number of surfers and toured them around Toronto, showing them not only the main tourist attractions but also the hidden gems, I have also coordinated rideshares anytime I road trip,I have also hosted when free time allows and I have surfed several times through 4 continents! I have recommended Couch Surfing to fellow travellers I feel would be good additions to the community, and I have even inspired my parents to begin hosting!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had some of the most amazing hosts and I have hosted several times in Toronto and every experience has been an extremely positive one.
Interests
Just like you, I am highly interested in travel, exploration and adventure! I am slowly but surely beginning to see the world one country at a time.
I find enjoyment in the basic aspects of life, I like to live with intention and consider the reasons and consequences of all things I do. I do my best to live a cruelty free, plant based lifestyle with awareness for my impact on the planet and attempting to minimize my use of single life plastics and other waste.
I have an appreciation for arts and culture, having deep and meaningful conversations with friends and strangers alike, and enjoying other culture's food, nature, plants, all things outdoors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
How could anyone pick just one! I cycled 2000kms from Lisbon to Barcelona in the heat of summer without training or knowing anything about cycling.
Living in an ashram in India, practicing yoga 5-6hours per day.
Safariing in Africa, seeing Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Leopards, and Lions in the wild!
I've met and have been impacted by so many others during my travels, that much of my perspective has been completely altered, I've grown much more compassionate and empathetic.
One of my favourite moments while travelling was unknowingly ending up in Paris on Bastille day, and gathering on the Champ de Mars with thousands of others and watching fireworks around the Eiffel Tower!!! It also happened on that same trip that we were in Madrid during Spain's semi-final Fifa victory which lead to the Plaza Major flooding with people celebrating and dancing in the fountains. The energy was incredible. I feel it is the events that you cannot plan for, the ones that take you by surprise that seem to be the most memorable. - 2010
This list grows by the day and is impossible to keep up to date. You can read more about my adventures at www.meanderingmish.wordpress.com
