About Me

**Please do not use couchsurfing as a means for nonconsentual dating. I, especially, am NOT interested. Thank you.**

I'm traveling Europe this Spring, starting in London.

I am a dancer, yogini, massage therapist, Ayurveda student, artist. I love dogs and have self taught basic dog training which I am happy to offer to any hosts. Part of my journey this year is the search for connections world wide so as to experience this life as fully as possible. I want to see it all!

I believe in human equality and cannot stand for sexism, racism, homophobia, or any other power structure in which a group/s are marginalized for the status or gain of others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling very low budget and I want to meet people. I want to see how non-Americans live. I want to relate and learn about societies ranging from similar to vastly different from what I am used to. I want to saturate my perspective of humanity.

Interests

I love moving my body - specifically dance and particularly outdoors. If I can be moving freely in the natural world I am in heaven. This contributes to my love of preventative medicine. The human body is a fascinating creation with so much power and potential, I eagerly await each new discovery especially when it comes to other's experience with healing.

I love dogs. I'm teaching myself basic dog training and I would be happy to share what I've learned.

I would deeply appreciate any help learning language, dance, music, math, psychology, computer science, biology... really anything I would enjoy hearing about.

Recently, I have become intrigued by human communication and social functioning. I am baffled and amazed by how much has been accomplished over human history, especially given how much effort is required the more people are involved.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music, it's easier to list what I do not like: most American pop country, experimental and progressive can be difficult to appreciate as a non-musician, top 40 is rarely pleasing.

I like movies which avoid reinforcing gender-normative stereotypes, or at least do so without being horrendously overt. I like silly, fantastic, frightening, contemplative, dry, and bizarre. I would rather not know the film will be sad.
The Grand Budapest Hotel is the pinnacle of hilarity for me, currently.

Books, I love books which draw me into the story of human interaction or experience. If I can connect emotionally with the characters and/or narrator I'll probably enjoy it (and finish it!).
Name of the Wind, Stephen King's It, Buddha's Brain, Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire books 1-3.
