About Me

🙋🏻
I live in the Netherlands and even when I grew up in a wonderful small village (apx. 2000), I decided to move to a city called Nijmegen. I love the vibe of the city center and it just makes me feel satisfied when I walk around in the cozy streets.

Followed many of my dreams, but keep developing new ones..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This is a great way to make it way more interesting to travel and also get to know the ins and outs of a country/city. Travel books are a great addition, but still written by people who visited the country/city, instead of living at the area. I hope that CS helps me to fall in love a bit with every country/city that I visit.
It’s sounds very cliche, and maybe I should stop here before making it worse!

Next to that CS makes life way more adventurous and also it makes me believe in the good will of the humankind! To be fair, it also helps a lot with traveling more and longer.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can listen to many different music styles (but preferably no hard rock or metal), but I got my own 'I like' list on Spotify. It really has the most different kind of music in one playlist. When we meet, I can let you listen to my old time favorites! But don’t judge me on my guilty pleasures...

For example Phil Collins, the Beatles, John Mayer, John Denver and Christopher Cross are in the list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think there are many things I've done where I think of that they were absolutely amazing. Riding on a motorbike in Taiwan is one of my highlights. Just such an easy and great way to see a country on it's finest and it made sure I slept at places where I otherwise would've never been able to come.
Maybe the best thing ever is actually that while traveling, I slept night after night under a sky without air pollution, that just seems the ultimate feeling of happiness..

What I Can Share with Hosts

Nijmegen has a lot to offer, as long as you know how to find them. Good thing that I can, so that makes me a good host. I often make time to show you around, but I also take you with me where I’m heading that weekend.

As a person I'm a good listener. I love to hear other people talk about... actually everything. I'm open for hearing different opinions on one subject and I like to hear good stories. I always have 100 questions ready, so if it gets to much, just let me know!

I love to play games (card/board), but not sure if I am a worthy opponent..
I love to cook food, but mostly eating it!
I eat Vegetarian and love to try different dishes 👌

I hope that with Couchsurfing I will have more stories to share, so other people get to know a bit more about the world.
