Hi folks !

I'm Anouk, a 24 years old graphic & soone-to-be webdesigner, working in Paris in a little company. I've been studying during 2 years to become an advertising designer. I can say that I found my way !
I think today it's really important to do something you love with your life.
Graphic design and travels are the best things in life to me.

Before to work in Paris, I was an aupair in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Yep, don't mess with those guys. Real Rednecks and cowboys, I swear. I improved my english overthere, this experience brought me so much. Experience with kids and with people from another culture, another world, because yeah, america is reaaaaaally different. I met so many wonderful people there, and created relationships I will never forget. This was definitely the best year of my entire life.

I love to read, but no worries, I'm not into talking about boring books during hours ! I read all kind of books, it makes time go faster in the subway, and allow me to just take off for a while. Candy crush does that too ;) (ok ok I'm a "has been", I don't play PokemonGo.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Like everybody, someone told me about that website and I though it was a great community. Specially because I want to go around the world and meet people I will never forget (You never forget the people you meet at the other side of the world) So I started three years ago and since then, I always do that when I travel.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I did couchsurfing many times. My first experience was in New York for New year's Eve, in Chicago, all around California, one time in France and in Ireland. I also met some people in Quebec and Paris too, just going to the "Event" page. After that I have been hosted many times during my road trip in Iceland. This is all I could get to do in a year, because all the other times I traveled, we were a big group of people, or else I was visiting friends, but I really liked it and want to do it again, that was great experiences. I think it's the better way to make my travels more interesting and meet people from everywhere in the world, learn to know them and their way of life, that's actually what I've been doing for a year in United States, discovering the culture and the people who are soooo different than french people !

Interests

Travel is, obviously, my goal number one in life.
100 countries, this is my goal before I die. And if I get to do more, well, let's go! I'm a wanderlust person and it's getting worst and worst haha! I'm just crazy about that. I even got tattooed the word "WANDERLUST". I give myself 10 years to check everything on my list (loooong list) and then, well, I guess I'll just keep on doing it.

I am passionate for advertising, graphic design, everything wich is about art actually. I also like to party in Paris, to hang out with friends, family meetings and to meet new faces !

Music, Movies, and Books

I love books. I read a lot. No way to talk about all the books I've read. Too much. Music? I live for reggae. I love hip hop, US rap, everything which move. Pop as well.
I watch lots of movies, every kind. I'm not passionate about cinema, but I really love movies like The green line, Fried Green Tomatoes, Gatsby, Le Prénom, Jeux de pouvoir, Limitless, Love Actually, The Help etc…

I also watch TV shows like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Revenge, Sense8 and I definitely, truly love Desperate Housewives ! (thanks Netflix)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I left my life in France to live an amazing year in America. I think it's the best choice I ever made. And the best experience in my (short) life, I hope to live a lot of things like that.
I also did zip lining in Costa Rica, in front of the Arenal Volcano. It was the most unbelievable thing I ever did.
I went to New Orleans for Mardi Gras and get some necklaces ! (I let you guess how I got them haha)
I was on time square for the 2014 new year's eve (28°F, oh my goooosh never again!) and saw Macklemore! (aaaand Miley Cirus, but who cares ?)
I did a Ride-a-Long with a cop!
I swam in the warm golf of Mexico water with sharks at midnight (don't do that, I was drunk it's not the most clever thing to do)
I also did skydiving in Santa Cruz California, best thing I've ever done, I just can't wait to do that again, this feeling is amazing!
In Ireland, I went on a bike and didn't even fell. And that's a miracle, believe me.
I flew in Les Alpes, paragliding.
I ate a space cake in Amsterdam, never again !
I went in Iceland, where I drove all around by myself, got lost in the volcanos, saw northern lights, got stuck in three different rivers (my car was smoking, the water was coming in, I freaked out so bad) and I saw nordic whales !
