About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Would love meeting CSers around the world!
ABOUT ME
I live in the Butterworth district which is opposite Penang island. It takes about one to one & a half hours to travel from my house to the island by public transport (bus, ferry). CSers who want a couch, please take note of that. I am married with 3 grown-up children, enjoys travelling independently. I am an English language teacher in the primary school but has decades of teaching experience in the secondary too.
PHILOSOPHY
Appreciate this moment in life because we never know what the next brings!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Show CS members around during the Malaysian school holidays. Attend CS events. Hosted a CS couple when the husband needed a place to recover from illness. I can't host anyone during the school term because I am too busy.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed with CS members on Penang island, in Butterworth and overseas. Hosted Peter & Sue. Couchsurfed in Paris, great experience!
Interests
Current hobby is travelling, especially independently and especially especially, backpacking until I am too old to hoist a backpack.

Music, Movies, and Books
Usually reads magazines. Reads storybooks in-between when I have more time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Started backpacking at the ripe old age of 50. Hiked on the tough Longest Trail in Penang with Penang Adventurers Club, from Penang Hill to Telok Bahang state park. It took all of 6 hrs at a fast pace. Practises reiki healing. Travelled alone in England, Paris and Amsterdam. I know this is commonly done in western countries but not much among older people in Malaysia. :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
Many things are possible if you really want to do it.
