About Me

***** PLEASE NOTE****
I live in small town called ASSIS and it is located 450km away from São Paulo city.

Some travellers tend to get confused once there's the STATE of São Paulo and the CITY of São Paulo (capital of the state).

Assis is located in the STATE of São Paulo, but as I mentioned, very far away from the capital.

--------

ABOUT ME / SOBRE MIM

*English*
I'm a easy going person who love knowing different people from different cultures.

I was born in Assis and lived 13 years in São Paulo and 1 year in London (UK). Since 2012 I'm back to my hometown.

Football is my passion (I'm a Corinthians stan) and some time ago I discovered a new one: photography. You can check my photos here: www.flickr.com/anselmoportes

I also love beer and I'm always trying different brands and styles.

I work from Monday to Friday from 7h30am to 6pm. I do physical activities almost every night during the week: I play football on Monday and Wednesday and pedal on Tuesday and Thursday. But I'm always back around 9pm. So if you stay with me during the week keep in mind that we won't have much time together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't really remember who introduced the CS Project. But since the beggining I found it really exciting and interesting.

I believe that main point of this project is not only to share your flat or house, but sharing new experiences, thoughts, own philosophy and culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experiece was in August 2008, when I travelled to UK and Ireland.

Then in 2009 visited Venezuela and Colombia.

In 2013 I travelled to UK, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

In 2017 I headed to Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.

In 2018 I backpacked through Turkey, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Poland and Czech Republic.

In September 2010 I did the Saint James' Way (Camino de Santiago de Compostela). A life-changing experience, indeed!

Teach, Learn, Share

Futebol.

---------

Despite of being Brazilian, I can not prepare the most traditional Brazilian drink: caipirinha (shame on me, I know). However, I can teach you how to prepare a delicious MOJITO.

Football. If you want to know about the Brazilian football I can teach you many things. But you gotta tell me when to stop, otherwise I'll talk about it 24x7! =P

I've got also a good knowledge about backpack trips and I enjoy talking about it.

What I Can Share with Hosts

---------

I can share the experiences I had so far in Couchsurfing and other travels.

I can also speak about how is life in my country/hometown.

Ah! I'm trying to learn some card tricks (cartomagy) and I can show you some begginer level ones
