About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Active addition to universal entropy!

ABOUT ME

My friends would tell you that I'm the second coming of Jeeves or Walter Mitty. Either way, you have a solid bloke at hand!

PHILOSOPHY

Dogbert.

Here's why: "They say only the good die young. If that works both ways, I'm immortal"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm fairly new to CS - but I'm planning on kicking off with a memorable surfing experience in Europe in November and an even more memorable hosting experience in India/US from January onwards.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As mentioned above, I'm new in these parts of the town. Bear with me!

Interests

As a fairly passive chap, I enjoy playing the piano/reading Orwell/listening to Sinatra. At other times I'm hopelessly rooting for Arsenal in the mad mad world of soccer. Recently, Krav Maga has caught my attention and the movements are...well, interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've always been captivated by my hometown, Kolkata. So little to see, but so much to take away. As if the real experiences are hidden in the crevices of this old city. Most recently, the City Palace of Udaipur helped discover a wistfulness that I never knew existed. Also, hovering over the Thames and the Chicago skyline on a hot summer day in a swanky A-380 was a pretty sweet experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

"They taught us at Barnard about that word, ‘utopia’. The Greeks had two meaning for it: ‘eu-topos’, meaning the good place, and ‘u-topos’ meaning the place that cannot be."

-- Rachael Menken (Mad Men, Season 1 Episode 6)
