ABOUT ME

These "all about you" fields are always hard to fill in as it is hard to squeeze into a few sentences. So, let's keep it short :)) I am outgoing, very social, LOVE to travel and have good fun. I like sports and ride my bicycle everywhere, especially in summers. I am also into meeting new people, learning from them, sharing my experiences and improving language skills. Am a bit of a language enthusiast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a member of CS for a few years already, and since I joined I have: participated in a winter camp in Istanbul once, couchsurfed in a few countries, hooked up with other jolly travellers for a drink/get-together and nowadays I regularly participate in meetings and events in Helsinki.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All of my CS experiences have been truly amazing! Be it staying on someone's couch or meeting up for a quick town tour or the regular gatherings. It's the people that make the atmosphere and the CS folks are exceptionally good at it :)

Interests

I truly love travelling, seeing new places, experiencing them, meeting local people, eating local food, drinking local drinks, you name it. Apart from that I like sports a lot. All sorts of group sports, but also more individualistic ones like tennis for example. Cooking hot dishes is also on the list of favorites, as well as hmm wine tastings and book discussions to name a few.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like the outside mainstream movies and that is why can't miss such events as "Love and Anarchy" film festivals here in Helsinki.
Musicwise a bit of everything is good. Love the classics but enjoy also the latest Ibiza&Goa sounds.
Books: there is just not enough space here to mention all the books I like :) Try to keep up with what's new and popular, but what's really close to my heart is European classical literature as well as some famous American writers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to point out one, as there have been many amazing moments with many amazing people along the way. There is one I could share here: I have been supporting World Vision's work in Colombia in a town of Barranquilla. In the summer of 2010 I went to visit the project and meet the people involved in it and I was truly amazed at how little is necessary to change someone's life from completely miserable to a life full of hope for better future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like constant learning, I'd also love to teach something I know if someone wants to learn from me :)
