Taking a quick trip to Taiwan. Filming on an island called Kinmen. Then spending a few days in Taipei to eat to my hearts desire. Then back to making movies. Let meet up and chat.

ABOUT ME

Chinese American guy born and raised in foggy San Francisco. I love my family and friends and wish they would travel w me. Served in the Navy after high school for six years. But now I explore the world on my own time. I eat to my heart's content...or at least until the pants button pops off. I love learning about new cultures and getting lost in new cities. I freelance as an indie filmmaker and make mainly documentaries, music videos, and internet content. I'm an ABC (American Born Chinese) so traveling through China has been the highlight of my life. But just seeing the world in general is such a privilege. And I got to experience and witness many things thats wrong in the world. I just hope to somehow make a difference. Sometimes you need a little adventure to get the heart pumping.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just moved back to my hometown San Francisco after living in Los Angeles for 10 years working in video production. SF is incredibly different now and changed (maybe for the worst) with very expensive living because of the tech boom. Hopefully I can lend some advice to travelers to stretch your dollar and to experience some really local stuff.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some awesome couchsurfers for coffee or a meal. Recently stayed with one for the first time in Japan and it was an awesome experience. We have exchanged traveling stories and given great advice to each other for future travels also. I travel as often as the paychecks come in. So I hope to meet some great, down to earth people.

I like to film and create videos about random things that interest me. I love listening to music esp live music, watching sports over some beers, shopping for cheap gifts, and just walking around any city and seeing what the locals do. I try to play basketball or run when I'm not lazy. I love hanging out at the parks in China. And I like to dance, not very well, but still. and 420.

I've taught filmmaking to kids and teachers in Jaffna, Sri Lanka which now they are producing educational content for all the kids that were infected by the civil war. But I think I topped it all, I got to meet and interview Hillary Clinton.

I have taught filmmaking to kids in Hawaii Film Festival, northern Sri Lanka, and in my hometown community in San Francisco Chinatown. And I'm pretty handy with my hands and love to build things. I like to learn new languages and also how to play a musical instrument. I'm ok on drums.
