About Me

CURRENT MISSION

discover radical communities across the united states.

ABOUT ME

I am a travelling bicycle mechanic and mountain bike guide. I am mechanically minded and enjoy working with my hands. I love backpacking and camping, and most of my destinations reflect this love for nature. Many of my travels end when I find a new town that I just can't seem to leave and then decide to call it home. I enjoy interactions with good people. My heart is forever in the mountains. I am quite mellow and easy-going.

PHILOSOPHY

Love the earth. Love people. Don't hate.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Encourage others to travel, practice free thinking, love their fellow man, and focus on sustainable practices. Gotta practice what you preach and preach what you practice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed across the south-east. Lost profile login and email. Started anew in 2012. 8 years spent traveling the US and Canada

Interests

The forest. I am truly happy in a forest. Mountain biking, hiking, camping, or living in the hills, I love it all. I love finding small dive bars in new places and prefer talking with locals. I enjoy gardening and cooking up the fruits of the labor. I strive to be able to mechanically fix anything that is broken.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sunrise on day 6 of a canoe trip in backwoods Canada. Slept on an island where we saw a double rainbow reflected into a full circle the day before. Life changing.

Learned how to make biodiesel, and bought a diesel car.

Teach, Learn, Share

DIY bicycle and automobile mechanics. Basic gardening. How to camp. DIY hammock making. How to live out of a car/van/truck.

What I Can Share with Hosts

In all my travels upon countless couches and around numerous campfires, one things has remained true in all: if one cleans all the dishes, people like you more.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Mexico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Colombia, Trinidad and Tobago, United States
