About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel Forever!!!

ABOUT ME

I've been on the road pretty much constantly for 14 years now spending a few of those living the an alpine town in Austria....

I have seen a lot of places around the world, here are the latest in reverse order....

Lituhuania: am in love with Vilnius can't wait to go back after the big freeze...

Poland: Saw the Northern parts, I got to swim in the Baltic Sea at sunset, an unforgettable experience.

New York 2 months: Was lucky enough to meet with amazing hosts and old friends in the greatest city on Earth. Finally hiked some of the Appalachian Trail upstate too.

Bolivia nearly 3 months: Words can't describe how incredible this country is I would go back tomorrow if anyone wants to pay me a flight ticket.

Argentina 1 week: It was so expensive :-( we went straight back to Bolivia asap...

Peru 1 month: Machu Pichu was nice... and Lima...

Ecuador 1 month: Climbed Almost to the top of Chimborazo we reached 5600m and now know what it's like to run out of oxygen almost...

Colombia: Locolombia miss it everyday since leaving, the people, the food the amazing nature... forget about it being 'dangerous' it's an awesome country to explore.

Las Vegas: Party, Party, Party....

Los Angeles: is so much better and amazing than I could ever have imagined.

Alaska: hitch-hiked all over the place, possibly the best place I ever went. Staying with a host in the woods and him giving me pump action shotgun just go for a hike so I could defend myself from bears was something I'll never forget...

6 weeks in Hawaii - This was an awesome adventure on very different islands.

New Zealand: after almost a year hitch-hiking all over both islands, Wwoofing, CSing and living whilst working in a $3 million house in Queenstown. Wow what a ride!

Australia: in 6 months hitched 12,000km across the toughest parts of the North coastline. Made it all the way to the Torres strait....and worked as a pearl farmer near to PNG lived on Roko Island population 5 and a crocodile.

in a nutshell: Also traveled across India and Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Borneo, Sulawesi, Bali & Lombok, Colombia to Mexico by land and one boat... and of course travelled all over Europe...

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make it, only you can change it for the better...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As this trip never ends it's unfortunate not to be able to host others, but whilst surfing I love to cook for people and share my extensive collection of films (about 600 now) Tutoring people in photography I really enjoy so if your keen to learn please ask me anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

There have been up's and down's (an interesting first time couchsurfing experience in Vietnam almost made me not want to do it again) But mostly the people I have surfed with have been welcoming and so accommodating and I deeply appreciate every bit of kindness.

Interests

I love the outdoors, I walk everywhere and anywhere... I'm happiest when camping on the beach, discovering rain forests and climbing mountains. I love to be surrounded by untouched nature, it gives me an amazing feeling inside.

Music, Movies, and Books

If I were to fill in this section you may fall asleep half way through, am deeply passionate about film (I carry about 600 films with me at all times) So am happy to share with anyone out there who appreciates movies too.
As for books I spent most of my youth pouring over pages of great literature, unfortunately since the invention of funny cat videos on youtube I seem to have lost interest in the written word, something that I'm hoping to put an end too soon...
Music... my library has over 10,000 songs none of which are pop music so I love anything but.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Every single day is an amazing experience in one way or another... My highlights in life have to be snorkelling with Whales and dolphins in Indonesia, Climbing up to 5600m on Chimborazo Ecuador, visiting the Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia, Hitch-hiking 12,000km across Australia only spending a couple hundred dollars in 6 months. Living In Queenstown, NZ. Meeting bears unexpectedly whilst hiking in Alaska, Hiking the Kalalau trail in Hawaii... this list could go on...

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a very enthusiastic photographer, in fact I could talk about it for hours on end.... it's my passion and I love to teach all that I've learned over the last few years.
