Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been on couchsurfing a few years now. I host people in Massachusetts when I am home (which, as a student, is becoming increasingly minimal time out of the year) and always like to try surfing a couch or two when I travel! Overall very positive experiences on this network.
Interests
Right now I am really interested in Anthropology and International Studies. I'm a student at Macalester College in Minnesota. I love traveling and like thinking about the human experience. The best way to do this is meet lots of people and learn about how different people live. In this respect, I love the intimacy of couchsurfing and the opportunity that it offers to bring people together!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the most meaningful experience of my life was spending my summer two years ago backpacking across Europe. I would say the places I visited and experiences I had traveling with my best friend, meeting new people, eating new food, figuring things out day after day in new places was life-changing in a lot of ways. I find it wonderfully humbling to see new places. I like getting swept up in new moments and in the pace of this trip, I felt immersed in that sensation for a month and a half. I would love to do it again sometime.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn to cook, and I am happy to teach anyone the few things I know how to cook. I love learning new languages and hearing about people's traveling experiences!
