ABOUT ME

I want to spend my life learning and growing and loving and creating.
Lately I have a real passion for projects that give me a reason to work with my hands. I like to work on my car. I want to learn how to weld, and screenprint, and start making biodiesel. I have been learning to focuss my endeavors, and I always ALWAYS like to have creative things going on in my life.

And I can really appreciate an unexpected Jurassic Park reference.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to look at another human being, and try to realize that they are another individual that is just trying to piece things together in this crazy subjective experience that we call reality.

I haven't been super active in recent years, but I finally have a home I can open up to guests so I look forward to that. Also I like to travel and meet people, so what better place for that is this?

Cooking and food and spirits. Politics, environmentalism, hedonism, spirituality and philosophy. Fixing things like cars and houses. Gardening. Animals (I have two little dogs). Biodiesel (I have an old Mercedes). Computers, internet and information technology. MUSIC:(I play a little guitar and dobro and piano)I like everything from indy rock and electronic, to bluegrass and jazz.
I also love the outdoors: camping, hiking, biking, canoeing...I just love getting out there!!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Every time that I get out into the wild. Into an environment that humbles me before the grandeur of the natural world. Backpacking the Adirondack High Peaks of upstate NY, or the North Cascades of WA. Or maybe down by the ocean..the waves and the rocks. Or up into a night sky to see dimension upon dimension of stars.
I look out at the majesty, and something goes tight in my chest. I may start to cry. Because it's so big a beautiful and amazing. And it humbles me, and tells me that everything is how it is supposed to be. Everything is going to be alright, and I am a part of the great cosmic dance.
These moments are the closest I come to seeing God.

I've been sloooowly learning to play guitar, piano and this old (original) Dobro that my father left.
I want to learn how to make cool stencils and modify my goodwill items and screenprint.
I want to learn more about yoga and macrobiotic living.
I want to unlock more secrets in the kitchen, as I stand before exotic ingredients and consider the possibilities!
I want to learn how to really open my mind's voice to the words I put down on paper.

Basically I'm into learning lots of new ways to pour my creative process out into the world.
