ABOUT ME

I'm an independent traveller, interested in meeting people, learning about their culture but also their characters and quirks.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to travel slowly, staying sometimes for long time in one place, immersing in it instead of covering lots of location and skimming over the surface.
I like meeting people and getting to know them good, and for this you definitely need time. It's difficult to say you know someone well if you've known him/her for just few days.

I believe that reality is much more complex than you can notice on the first sight. Culture is more than regional dresses, colourful events and amazing monuments. It's the sum of people who comprise it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm on a over year long trip, so I cannot host anyone. But when I will settle down somewhere for longer time, I will happily couch people (if I have conditions), or at least show them around the city and help in other way to make their stay memorable .

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I travel mostly in areas where life is cheap enough to afford even on tights budget, so free accommodation is not really so tempting. I find it's much more important as the possibility to meet people, and often very interesting people, who are sometimes not so easy to meet at random while walking on the street.

Photography - I take it very seriously, doing some long time projects if possible, trying to avoid typical touristic snapshots.

I like non-fiction books, and movies that are not just a stupid past-time... But I'm not limited to it only, all depends on my mood.

Many things are amazing.. sometimes it's a breathtaking view, like Himalayas in the morning, sometimes a memorable meeting, like with an old man somewhere deep in Asian mountains, who was so touched that someone from as far as from Europe came to visit his hut, that he started crying..
