About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy Praha! Save for India!

ABOUT ME

left-handed vegetarian american living in prague for the last four years, living here because i love it, working with kids because they are zen masters, getting really into vinyasa yoga these days and standing on my head, studying art therapy and czech language, currently gathering old stories from czech people, co-writing a novel, learning to breathe deeper, learning to let go

PHILOSOPHY

Do your thing and don't get distracted unless it's worth it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I slept on several couches and floors in England and it was great. I have offered my semi-ghetto-mini-dollhouse-kinda-uncomfortable-but-spirited flat to couchsurfers, yet so far no one has opted for it over a real bed somewhere else. Love the project though, and someday I will own a couch, and a bed.

Interests

Art. Dancing. Yoga. Writing. Travelling. Drinking good tea, slowly. Hearing old stories, new stories. Building communities centers and networks. Meditating. Working with children and their families. Inspiring other people to do their thing, whatever that may be. I am working on mastering this skill. So far, it's going very well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading Jung cuz I have to. Currently listening to Swedish Jazz and Buena Vista Social Club a lot. Movies? Haven't seen a good one lately.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Bought a one-way ticket to Athens, ended up riding a bicycle from Kosovo to Budapest. Sunflower fields that went on forever, landmine fields that didn't go as far, kind and generous people. Wound my way to Prague and had a feeling about this city, so I stayed. That was four years ago and I'm still here.
